Step 15 — Fixing Common AI Image Problems
AI-generated images often display characteristic issues: unnatural proportions, strange artifacts, lighting inconsistencies, or compositional problems. Learning to diagnose and fix these issues through prompt adjustment is essential for consistently producing high-quality results.
When faces, hands, or objects appear distorted, add specificity to your prompt. Include terms like anatomically correct, realistic proportions, or natural appearance. Specifying detailed hands or clear facial features focuses the AI's attention on problem areas.
Flat, unnatural lighting diminishes image quality. If your results lack dimensional lighting, add specific lighting descriptions: three-point lighting, natural window light, or studio lighting setup. Reference real lighting scenarios rather than vague terms.
When subjects appear poorly framed or compositionally unbalanced, include composition guidance. Terms like rule of thirds, centered subject, balanced composition, or professional framing help. Genlab prompts already incorporate solutions to common problems
