Step 08 — Creating Realistic Scenes in AI Prompts
Realism in AI-generated images comes from attention to physical and environmental details that mirror the real world. Creating believable scenes requires understanding how light, space, objects, and atmosphere interact naturally.
Real-world physics govern how things appear. Light sources cast shadows in specific directions. Objects have weight and occupy space. Water reflects surfaces. Phrases like natural shadows, realistic reflections, or proper perspective guide the AI toward accurate representations.
Every setting has characteristic elements. A forest includes specific tree types, ground cover, and lighting filtered through leaves. Oak trees with dappled sunlight is more believable than generic trees in forest. Research your intended environment and include authentic details.
When including people, specify realistic poses and proportions. Humans interact naturally with environments – they don't float or appear disconnected. Terms like standing naturally or believable interaction with objects help AI place figures convincingly
