Step 10 — Improving Prompt Clarity
Clear prompts produce predictable results. Ambiguity in prompt writing leads to unexpected outcomes and frustration. Improving clarity means communicating your vision precisely. Small clarity improvements create significant quality differences.
Replace generic words with specific alternatives. Instead of big, use towering, massive, or expansive. Instead of pretty, try elegant, delicate, or refined. Specific vocabulary gives the AI concrete direction. Compare a nice building with an elegant Victorian mansion with ornate details.
Organize prompt elements in coherent order: subject, then environment, then details. Jumping randomly between ideas confuses the AI. A woman in a park with trees at sunset wearing a red dress reads more clearly as A woman wearing a red dress walking through a tree-lined park at sunset.
Contradictory instructions confuse AI systems. Bright dark scene or realistic cartoonish style creates conflicting directives. Review your prompts for opposing concepts. Remove contradictions or choose one clear direction.
